While the fans are happy about the soon restart of the Bundesliga, Frank Baumann criticizes. The Bremen managing director would like more preparation time.
Managing Director Frank Baumann from Werder Bremen is still critical of the short preparation time for the restart of the Bundesliga.
"From the Bundesliga perspective, it would have been desirable to have had the same conditions in terms of team training for the minimal preparation for the remaining season," he said, referring to the game against Bayer Leverkusen on May 18 (Bundesliga: Werder Bremen - Bayer Leverkusen, from 8.30 p.m. in the LIVETICKER)
"It would have been important to have had at least two weeks of team training because the differences before that were clear."
Baumann wants to accept DFL decision
Even before the dates were announced by the German Football League (DFL) on Thursday, Baumann had called for a start on May 23. Since Werder has so far only been able to train in groups of four due to official requirements, the 44-year-old fears a competitive disadvantage. Nevertheless, Baumann wants to "accept" the decision.

From now on the focus should be on table 17. lying on the relegation battle. "It will be a very intense week. In the end it can be compared to a big tournament," said Baumann, "We have a very difficult situation to master in terms of sport. We just need this passion, this cohesion, this team spirit and optimism."
